X4110 - Fuser banging noise when disarming

    Hey there,

We have a metal noise when the fuser disarmes ( when the nip lowers the pressure roller ) .

We have found the nip gear 55T metal gear, to have 2 broken teeth. We replaced the gear but noise is still there.

Even with the fuser out, when we manually disarm the fuser, the noise is still there. So it's clearly a shock from that.

Is this normal or is there something else we could check.

I've seen this when there is a toner builup on the pressure roll cleaning blade. It is probably caked with toner.

Hey there. Thanks for the quick reply. We don,t have a cleaning blade. The eureka recommends taking it off. Most fuses are shipped without one now.
