    WC 5855 Slight Grey Background

Ok, we swapped DV unit, Xerographic Module (drum), corona and cleaned everything. Same result. Slight grey background. Happens on print and copy and even test prints out of diagnostics.

    Any ideas?

the drum has a crum chip on it.. did you use new drum or a pull?

    have you re-calibrated the system?

block the toner supply to the dev unit... run about 50 sky shots and then open up the toner supply back to dev unit.. let it load toner and re-cali... sounds like dev unit is not picking up the new change in bias charge.

No real way to block toner on these other than remove cartridge.
What procedure are you speaking of in RE - Calibrate?
