wc 7225T, initial install, SIM card check, non customer mode

I've been looking around online and I found

Wc 7225i Initialization Kit W/ Bim Xerox Iscs Exclusive 097S04692

Any idea what a BIM is? Is that Xerox's name for a SIM? Most places I found were sold out so I imagine it will be a direct from Xerox order.

You don't buy an activation kit. The SIM is supplied by your Xerox dealer when you buy the machine.

That's why the part number is "sold out".

Buy a used machine and use this one for parts.... or suck it in, call Xerox and pay per copy.

The SIM is part of the activation (initialisation) Kit. In the Kit you get the SIM, a power cable for your region and the sticker for the model number.

Trust me, I’ve been through this only a few months ago and we are a Xerox authorised partner. We order direct from Xerox and have access to their higher level support and attend the same courses as their engineers.

We had a 7855 with no SIM and we’re basically told you have two options. Option 1 was to get hold of logistics to claim for the missing initialisation Kit (couldn’t do that as one was never ordered) or option two, buy one. Can’t remember the exact cost but it wasn’t worth what the machine was now worth.

Use for spares and buy another.
