    Xerox 1000 Fuser Issue

Hi All, we have a Xerox 1000 which is working just cool for us until today. We got some parts to replace in the fuser but cant seem to get the fuser out of the machine. In the past we opened the side door, unlocked the fuser assembly and simply pulled it out to the normal position or further to the service position. For some reason I can not even pull it out to the normal position - it comes out about 3/4 of the way and then simply stops.

I have checked to see if there are any obstructions but found non, even opened up the back panel. What can the problem be? Has anyone ever encountered this problem?

How would one go about fixing it?

    Best regards

Cool Re: Xerox 1000 Fuser Issue

Managed to solve the problem with a bit of brute force applied to the inner rail by means of a hammer and a flat screwdriver to the inner rail. It seems it was stuck perhaps from some older grease and the action of the heat from the fuser or whatever. Cleaned out the rails and re-oiled them and all is well again.

    Thank goodness.
