Will Docucolor 252 Professional finisher work on Xerox 550

I have a Color 550 with a freeflow server. I was looking for a pro finisher for it, but could not find one. A techie told me to get a docucolor 252 pro finisher and connect that. I did that, upgrade the printer software and the printer did recognize it as a pro finsher. The only problem is the motor on the middle tray of the finisher rums nonstop.

What can I do to resolve this issue? Any advice will be appreciated.

well did you reflash the firmware or just connect it?

did you follow the instructions for firmware install? Through admin account?

Phil, would that be through the web interface or the printer UI? The only errorI got was with the freeflow connected and that was P03-201.

Haven't got any experience flashing firmware, but as far as I understood DC250 series finishers are not compatible with 550/560 series?
