Xerox WorkCentre 7225 DADF fault with error 305-253
I've got an WorkCentre 7225 which tells me the DADF is not available. When the machine boots it does make the 'dadf-sound'. Scanning works fine, just not from the DADF. In the fault history I see error 305-253 which, afaik, is undocumented.
I've have already replaced the DADF with known good one. I also swapped out the IIT PWB. Forced altboot on the machine with various parts, but it always stop around 2/3 upgrading the scan engine. The upgrade bar turns red and the machine hangs. What would be the next step? MCU PWB?

Check 24 volts on IIT
Probably it is missing.

Definately check the connection between the dadf and dadf pwb. The DADF should be one of the first things to initiate during POST. If cable between dadf and dadf pwb are ok, check dadf pwb to MCU. Check for bent or broken pins. On this model anything swapped out you must do a Forced Altboot without any failures. What software version or you putting on? Reason I ask is swapping parts may have different sw versions and a forced Altboot will put all systems on same platform. Software maybe an issue if you cannot get past 2/3 Segs loaded. Try an earlier version then upgrade to desired level. Seems you are getting into the Xerox field with recants post revolving around Xerox. We are glad to help.
Hope this helps.

@Adrian I'll check 24V
@JRtech Dec 2018 073 software on it. I will try a downgrade, but I'm pretty sure both the 'original' machine as well as the donor were on 073.
