Xerox WC 4250 Diagnostic Mode Password not working.

Working on a Xerox WC 4250 and when i try to get into diagnostic mode , by pressing and holding the # key, then login key and i enter 1934 it says incorrect password.Am i doing something wrong? or could someone have changed it? and if so is there a way to reset it?.

Any Suggestions will be appreciated.

check your manual again.. you are using the procedure for the 4150... not 4250 totally different!

Press the <Log In/Out> button on the Control Panel.
2. Enter the Administrator’s Password. The default is 1111.

he is bullshitting about the "manual" telling him how to enter SM....

THAT is the way for SAMSUNG engines... this is not one...

I fear you have given the SM code to a end user...
guess we will be seeing more issues from him on this machine!

That's the admin login not the diag one. The admin login is listed in all Xerox user guides anyway. It's the secret diag one that's nasty.

Worst he can do with admin is change network setup or something.

I am not an customer, Just do not work on Xerox that often, I have been servicing copiers since the 80's, The old Savin wet ink machines , Oce open fuser fire traps Toshiba 601's with chain drive etc.. If u do not want to help me fine. Just wanted my question answered. Trying to get into service mode or as Xerox calls it Diagnostic mode.
