1-800-ASK-XEROX and request to be setup with your friendly local dealer. They will sell you a nice price-per-page service / supplies contract and kick you a SIM card.

You don't run these units unless your paying Xerox monthly.

Our customer don't want to pay any service to Xerox - they like to own their Copier. We provide Toners and other supplies and repair as we'll...
Xerox is expensive and contract is not always best solution
. We'll just search a solution to start machine, if this mean we have to buy initialization kit, we will find one and pay for, no problem ...

Sim cards are used for machine initialisation and set the machine speed and country etc...

You order these with the machine at zero cost as part of the machine configuration, however, should you need to order one outside of the initial ordering process then they cost a few thousand.

Basically it's their way of stopping machines being sold through improper channels.

I have used Sims from the back of our 58xx fleet that he can have for $4.00 a SIM.
