    WC 7428 005-122 ADF Jams

The ADF will run the copies through then stop and show a jam. (005-122). Sometimes at the end of the original stack and sometimes at the end or not at all. It always runs the paper clear through. I took the inner paper guide out and cleaned the sensors. I also changed the feed tires and sep. I suspect the pre registration photo sensor but I can't find the service manual anywhere and can't get part numbers... Any help will be very appreciated...

DADF top cover has two actuators which needs to activate two sensors. Remove dadt back cover.
First actuator is not operational all the time, and it is stoping on the sensor.
You need to do some meh. adj. to fix this issue.

I sure do appreciate your help with this. I ended up getting a whole adf feeder. You information sure was helpful. I think the problem was in the Wire Harness/Board area. I replaced the sensors and that didn't have any effect. Again Thanks so much !!!

Just reporting for people who might have this problem in the future. It was exactly what xeroxsharp said. The flag was catching the edge of the photo sensor and didn't return to home position. I used pliers on the metal planks the sensor sits on so the flag has space to move freely.
