Replace Xerox 700 IOT PWB BOARD, 960k28862 with XEROX J75 PWBA IOTD, 960k68231

    Hi Anyone,
I've been looking for a secondhand Xerox 700 IOT PWB BOARD part number 960k28862 but can't find it but I came across XEROX J75 PWBA IOTD, part number 960k68231
which looks identical, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows if I could replace a Xerox 700 IOT PWB BOARD part number 960k28862 with XEROX J75 PWBA IOTD, part number 960k68231.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    J

I have no specific knowledge about this board, however, for pretty much every upgrade I know on machines that look almost identical (DC250 => 252, 75xx => 78xx, 4110 => D95) it's precisely the IOT driver, MCU and SBC/ESS PWB that is the change. My guess would be not.

Noted with thanks! We bought the part and replaced it but unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. The error code is still there and we can't print...,Xerox 700, error code 041-344.
If you know of anyone who can do a live technical video assistance, please pm me their details...willing to pay for service.

    Thanks again!

By the way, below are list of things we've tried already but to no avail:

    - Checked resistance value between terminals of IOT Exit Motor as recommended, approximately 3.2 ohms
    - Checked resistance value between terminals of Invert In Motor as recommended, approximately 3.6 ohms
    - Checked the power supply to the IOT Board, 24V
    - Checked the Fuses, its ok
    - Swapped door Interlocks, error remains
    - Replaced IOT board, error remains

We left the front door open and turned on the printer. The printer turns on with a message and icon 'close door screen', when exit
from the close door screen, the home screen appears with COPY, NETWORK, SCAN. However, the printer wouldn't print.
We then closed the front door and an error message appeared, "Fault/error a fault has
    occured switch off the machine.
    ensure that the
screendesappears before swithing it on 041-344"

Please any other suggestions we're out of ideas?

The fault menu we checked had no history. Is this where you go to:
Machine Status, and then: - Faults - Billings - Consumables, etc. If it is, there was no history. however, we've not checked diagnostics mode yet? I will check the diagnostics mode and find the fault history and post it up here tomorrow.

    Thanks for your response!!!

Even the iot driver pwb from C75 looks the same as 700 may be it is not.
The RAP from edoc say to replace iot driver pwb after you already have replaced the iot exit motor.
Part number for IOTD= 960K28863 from edoc parts list.
The 41-202 in dc 131 is indeed in 'High' status ?
May be there are others faults. How about nvm init ?

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for your response. I checked out the fault codes and here is what I got. The error has changed from 041-344 to 041-345. Is it possible the image with current error codes, 1). 062-300, 2). 041-344 has got something to do with it or what do you think?

I came across prodcedure for error code 062-300 but I'm not sure where to locate the Platen Interlock Switch. Please see attached image...

    Thanks in a millionaire!!!

My opinion is to purchase service manual and follow the proper procedures from there if you want to selfservice the machine.
From history errors seems the iotd is defect but also there are anoters errors on machine.
