don't know , can't print it out, do you know of an upgrade that addressed that issue? i'm gonna check the bypass connectors, operator mentioned that the bypass didn't work before the error message and i've read about that issue (bypass connectors) causing that error. it's a weird one. thanks--tuey

I recently had a machine with the "latest" firmware update.

Only to find out that firmware version would not allow me to scan to Windows 10 1830 machines.

Backed up one version earlier and everything worked fine again.

I would recommend a Altboot to see if that gets you going.

Also for testing purposes you can try removing the HDD and then try booting. (A bad HDD can sometimes cause your kind of problem)

    Re: phaser 3635mfp-- communication error

tried a few things this morning, disconnect hd, fax board, checked all plugs on main, tried a different touch screen etc. but it goes to error screen giving me no access to sm or diagnostics, screen will not react. one of the things i noticed today is the error screen sometimes has a header saying communications error sometimes not, some times the header "comm error" appears after being there for a few minutes. i have parts machines so maybe later i'll try different main board etc. and see if i can find problem through process of elimination. thanks--tuey
