Docucolor 12, Fiery Problem

Hi, I have a Docucolor 12, seems that the Hard Disk of the Fiery is damaged, when I turn it on, the hard disk only makes a click, click, click, sound and nothing happens, what can I do?

you can put a new IDE hard disk 40 gb or so and i presume you don't have the system software.if you are having X12 ver 1.5 then i could give you the installation CD's otherwise post your fiery model and hopefully some one could get you the software

Another alternative if you don't have the system s/w is to have the HDD be diagnosed and fixed by a recovery software which can be d/loaded from the i/net for free (just google search it). Better yet get an HDD recovery professional to do the job

can you please help me how we can make a diffrence between fieryx12 and cobra ?
i want to install fiery v1.1 system software but i don't know about the proccedure how to install and how many cds are required for this task ?
i have only one cd of system software in mdf format, i try to boot with this but didn't get any response.

If u can get a ghost image ver1.5(meaning,someone has built a fiery 12 system with all the drivers,configurations already done) for u. It takes disk 1/2 to get it up and going. Of course that your fiery 12 has all the standard factory parts. The hdd can be bought(new) and the size doesnt matter. It will format the patition with the ghost image. I have done this in the past and not knowing what the heck I was doing and it work. Good luck!
