DocuColor 250 toner chip solution?

Has anyone developed a replacement for the DocuColor 250 style chips?

Specifically, the 6R1219 black toner chip?

I know that it is possible to "top up" the cartridge and it will keep running. But if it actually gets as far as 0% and the machine marks it as empty, that's it. It won't even try anymore. Plus, ideally, I would like for the 0-100% counter to reset like it would with a real (or proper aftermarket) chip would so that I have an idea of the usage remaining.

Thanks!
