Exclamation Neel Help with Doc 250 Magenta Developer

I have a Doc 250 with about 160,000 prints on the meter

I am getting a long line anytime a do a print that has a lot of Magenta in it.

I have changed the Fuser and ALL of the color and black drums.

    No change.

A friend suggested that the problem is probably inside of the magenta developer unit.

I need to know the part # for the magenta developer.

Also, if anyone has any "tips" or instructions for changing the developer unit it would be much appreciated.

I am and owner/operator, not a trained tech.

    Thanks in advance.

Suggest you to call some tech to see what is problem with your machine.

If you get light line, then also ROS (laser) could be dirty.

If ROS need to be cleaned then only tech can do that.

Also maybe you have damaged developer roller, so if change just developer that will not resolve your problem.

Picture showing problem with my Magenta on Doc 250

Here is a link to an image of the problem

    Yfrog - issuewithmagentaondoc25

This ONLY happens when I print an image that has a lot of Magenta in it.

Cyan, black and Yellow images all print fine.

Thanks again for the great help and support here.

    One other thing

The "line" always appears on the place on the page.

It is NOT random and it does NOT shift.

It looks like there is some contamination in the magenta dev unit - behind the blade on the dev roller.
If you take out the magenta print cartridge you should be able to see the magenta dev roller - if you then rotate the dev roller you should be able to see if there is an obstruction behind the blade.
Otherwise, you can actually swap the dev tank with the cyan one. As long as you tape over the toner ports so you dont contaminate the colours with fresh toner - you should be able to do one or two diagnostic prints to isolate the problem.
    Good luck

    Veedle - THANK YOU!!

    Veedle nailed it!

    You were correct.

I removed the Magenta drum and then rotated the gear on the left side
    of the magenta developer unit.

I could see a small "dead spot" on the roller where the toner was not as thick.

I removed the top of the developer housing and vacuumed out the top of the housing and the cleaner brush.

Reinstalled and now everything prints PERFECTLY!!

Thank you so much for your time and your help.

And thanks to everyone else for your time and suggestions.

Also, I would like to make a donation to Copytechnet as another way to say thanks.

Is there a paypal acct I can donate to?

    Thanks again.
