Thumbs up

You have to take the plastic cover off pour the developer evenly in the reseviour (sp) and turn the end gear to cycle in the dev. material.
Put back together and should be good.

Run the dc950 setup, ATC setup. The numbers you enter are on the atc sensor on the developer assy.

First of all can you tell us why are you installing new developer?
The developer need to be replaced at about 1 500 000 prints. Did you had the same problem with printing blue before installing the new developer? It will be useful if you post some scans.
What do you mean with " I don't have blue", if I'm getting you right when you try to print blue you are getting completely magenta image?

I had to replace the developer station, i guess it was an issue with big pale lines throughout the blue and we could find no obstructions and and we replaced drum after drum to no avail, so we had to step it up and go with teh change. I am now starting to get some Cyan when I print it's just very faint. When I am printing a solid navy it will come out as a light purple because the cyan isn't being laid down as well as the magenta. I have been looking at the settings as far as Toner density and it says the target is 599 and I am at about 351. I hope this helps a bit, it's hard to find guys in this area who actually know this machine, since we own it and don't have a xerox service contract. Thanks again for all of your help.

It obviously needs to be toned up. Run the tone up procedure through the laptop PWS

can I run it via the printer gui, I have seen that it asks how many pages and give me the option to go + or - 99 pages. does this sound right to you, since writing I have added more developer to the unit and the cyan is getting a bit stronger. i will try the tone up/down function on the gui

Thanks again

Yes you can.

Taken from service manual. Hope this helps.

ADJ 9.3 Toner Density Setup (Tone Up/Down)
Purpose
This procedure manually increases or decreases toner concentration (TC). It is used when a
xerographic problem or out-of-toner condition has prevented process control from maintaining
the TC target value.
It is important that the problem that caused the low or high TC condition is resolved before performing
this adjustment.
Check
1. Enter the Diagnostic Mode. Refer to Entering PWS Diagnostic mode.
2. Select dC991 from the DC Quick menu.
3. Select Read.
4. Compare the values for ATC Measured with the values for ATC Target. If the values differ
by more than 25 bits for Y, M, or C; or by more than 50 bits for K, perform the Adjustment.
Adjustment
1. For each color that is above or below target, enter a value between -99 and 99 into the top
row. This value is the number of tone up or tone down cycles to be performed. Negative
values increase the ATC Measured; positive values decrease ATC Measured.
2. Repeat as required until ATC Measured matches ATC Target. If the measured value
cannot be set to the target, there is a problem in either the toner delivery system (Dispenser,
low toner sensor, etc.), or in the TC detection circuitry.
