Exclamation Problem printing from tray 6 on Doc 250

I just installed a High Cap feeder (tray 6) on my Doc 250

I am not able to print from tray 6

When I open Photoshop and select print, I now see an option for Tray 6 and Tray 6 oversized.

I select Tray 6 oversized (I am printing to a 12x18 sheet)

The document is transferred to my Spire cx250 with no issues.

It processes the document in the process que and then sends it to the print que.

Then I get an error that says "Tray 5 is out of paper"

But I am NOT trying to print from tray 5, I am trying to print from tray 6.

If I view the spec on the document in my jobs que on the Spire it DOES show Tray 6 as the intended paper source.

What am I missing??

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Hi. Check the page setup of photoshop (not the printer properties) if the paper source is selecting the bypass tray (tray5). This overwrites the printer selection even if you select tray6 under printer properties. thanks

Thumbs up Thanks XCopy!

Thanks XCOPYTECH!

You were RIGHT ON with your info.

I needed to update my Spire cx250 to the latest "patch" for Tray 6.

Installed the patch and it prints perfectly.

Thanks again to all who keep this GREAT resource working.
