Question Xerox 8560 mfp

Have machine that cuts off and reset itself after 16 to 26 % warmup time
the error codes do not change at all, replaced electronic module, retime everthing and it still resets itself, also taken scanner and adf loose and still no go.

Is this machine plugged into a powerstrip/ext. cord? Does this machine share the circuit with any other machine? The solid inks are GREAT machines, but very picky about power and a powerstrip, even though nothing else is in it could be a cause.

You also said error codes not changing, what are the error codes?

Most of them are 13.008 and a couple of 4.025.Have i have a drum thermistor on order and the funny thing is i have the scanner disconnected and monitoring it througt the ip address and it said that it is ready to scan and copy.It is not on a powerstrip it is plug straight into the wall and the only thing plug into is a computer.I did clean the thermistor yesterday and got it to warm up and print 70 pages but then we cut off just to see if it warm back up and now is just jams all the time on the cleaning page.

Have you check the wall outlet to make sure your meter isn't showing a drop?

Now that it is just jamming on the cleaning page, does it still powercycle? Or just the jamming now? Is there any grinding noise on the machine? You may want to check the 3 screws that hold the process gear box in, and make sure they haven't snapped off the machine. Also, if you take out the maint. kit roller from the side of the machine, there is a black plastic plate there. This holds the maint. kit. If you lift that up, you should see a rod with 2 black "half moon" shapes on them (DM Camshaft). One side will be round, the other side will be flatter. The 2nd one maybe hard to see as it is on the complete other side of the machine. If you take a flashlight look at the side of the "moon shape" plastic that is flat look to see if there are any hairline cracks in it, as this will prevent the proper pressure of the maint. kit on the drum - leaving dry spots on the drum causing the paper to stick to it.

If none of these items are broke on this machine, when you home everything, make sure to loosen the process gearbox enough so you can properly home the bottom right gear (this is actually the DM camshaft). To properly home this, you need to rotate it 1 whole revolution and then line up the hole to the arrow. Then put the process gearbox in (if it is already homed, if not, home it while out and away from other gears).

Hope this helps!
