Normally resets when replacing the NVM software module but you will need to reload the Machine NVM settings with a PWS.
Billing counters are not affected by software upgrade or downgrade via either UGD or DLM method.

    Altboot:

Billing counters are not affected by the use of the altboot tool.

    PWS tools (excluding altboot):

Billing counters are not affected by the use of PWS tools. This includes NVM save and restore.

    GUI Diagnostics:

Billing counters are not affected by any initialisation performed in dC132.
C13 will increment when test patterns are printed.

    Hardware replacement:

    Software DRAM:

Billing counter information is stored on the software DRAM . If this PWBA is replaced or becomes corrupted, billing counter information will be lost. Performing an NVM restore using the machine resident diskette (MRD) will NOT restore billing counter information.

Replacing any other hardware will not affect the billing counters.
