    DC12 Fuser

    Hi all,
Pls is there any other xerox machine whose fuser heat roll is similar and compatible with the dC12 external heat roll.
Besides, my DC12 is leaking oil from the fuser heavily, to the extent that the oil drops out from behind the machine. Is this normal?
    Pls share your experience. Thanks.

What's wrong with your external heat roll?

Oil leaking isn't normal, of course. Try to change blade and see what happens.

Oil drops can be on page - try to look for fuser fingers (later they were modificated) - most of times I had problem with those things. Also look for a roll behind the fuser (under fuser web) sometimes a plastic cover (i dont know how to say it) goes out of this roll (I got a customer he didn't have this roll and ho got a lot of oil, in right upper corner of print), also try to clean oil pipe and oil pipes - speciallyb when you see a lot of dirt in oil tank (comes from paper dust). I dont think any roll is similar to this one - maybe 5750 or 2045 but I think they are more expensive. If you need replacements send me a private message

    Greetings

Thanks all. I managed to sort out the leakage issue. It was right from the oil cartridge itself...the seal was distorted. The problem with my external heat roll is that it is scratched on the surface and makes unwanted impressions on the prints.
