Exclamation Xerox DC12 does not power on

    hi evrerybody
i have trouble with one Xerox DC12:

machine worked ok and turned OFF by power switch, after few hours when switched ON she does not work.
When switch power ON, only relays on back sound and green light (power saving) goes ON. Display is OFF, no any sounds from machine.

tryed with change IOT assy , but no change. (green led on IOT CPU does not light)
    checked fuses ......

i think some POWER boards is faulty or some connector is loosen...

    any supposition?

F3 fuse is located on the Distribution PWB. Usually it blows up.
I had this problem last night. The fuse didn't blow up, just reinserted it, and everything was working.

    Just checked Eureka>
Loose pin connections at PJ45 on the Distribution PW. Tighten female side of PJ45 using meter test probe or appropriate tool. You want to ensure a good connection is made between the two plugs.

If it doesn't help replace LVPS

there is a power supply board which causes this If i think the name is right its A1 power supply . I dont have any documentation on this machine to help you more. I threw all out with my last DC12 4 years back.

The board can be seen when you open the bottom cover. Its the size of 3/4th of an A4 sheet of paper. Check that
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

david7 is right. Usually the power supply goes bad from either fuser oil shorting it out or just buildup of crap on it. One of the main symptoms is the machine is stuck in sleep mode and can't get out.
