I need to change the developer on this model xerox.

I know how to get it appart and am able to get the developer but is there a procedure I need to do such as service reset, dev set up etc...

Also how do you get into the service mode.

    Help would be appreciated.

To get into service mode i think u should press 0 button, hold it for 3-6 seconds and then press start, it will ask for password, type 6789.

    Thanks for that.

When I'm in the screen it looks like a negative.
I cant see maintenance or any thing else. It just looks like the normal screen but in a negative form.

Do I need to press something else to get to the dev area on the panel.

    Thanks

Press the Log In/Out button on the Control Panel.
    Select System Settings.
    Select Common Settings.
    Select Maintenance/Diagnostics.

    Thanks guys for the help.

The reason for the dev replacement was because the doc/dev blade was loose and caused the developer to clump on the one side and then empty into the copier (everywhere).

The magenta and yellow have been contaminated and also the black.

I am a Ricoh / Kyocera / Canon tech guy. But like everybody else affected by this current economic climate, I have been called to look at other brand machines which I'm only to happy to help.

    Many thanks
