Only one time I worked on this machine and had the same problem.

While removing fuser station, someone has broken the fuser lamp. You can see that lamp goes on, but if you remove it, you'll see that it's broken at one end.

After I changed lamp machine got ready.

    Good luck

I assume that you have checked that the drawer is latching properly?
here are some tips from eureka:
    Problem:
Fault code 10-393 with 10-387 and 10-357 also present
    Cause:
DC5000's have a habit of dropping toner down the inboard edge of the machine and in my case had fallen onto the connectors at the back of the paper path module (pl: 9.2) causing a poor connection and the above fault codes.
    Solution:
Clean connectors, i found using the air can (part# 600T91940) was the best cleaner.

    Problem:

Message "Please Wait, Heat roll needs adjustment" displayed on IOT UI. Fault code 10-501 is recorded in service diagnostics. All the heater rods in fuser are off. No warm up. The 10-501 RAP leads to 10-357. This leads eventually to replacing the Power Chassis and the IO Pwb.

    Cause:

There is no ACH to fuser due to the Fuser GFI tripped out.

    Solution:

The RAP does not ask you to check this GFI.
The appropriate information is on BSD 1.1 (2 of 3) Zone R2.
    PL 13.2 Item 7. Part No. 908W00917
The Fuser ACH is independent of the machines main power but is controlled through the interlock system.
When the machine cycles up it does not check for ACH before switching on the K1 and K2 relays.
The system then thinks the machine is warming up until there is no change in fuser temp and trips out on a 10-501 if the machine is cold.
If the Fuser was hot when the GFI tripped then the machine will try to warm up and fall out on 10-357/87/89 codes.

Reset the GFI. As you look at the REAR of the machine it is the one that is tripped......

    Good luck!

    reseat heatroll.pdf

Check gear number 21 on pl 9.2 in edoc.
    Check screw on that gear.

If the power interlocks aren't making contact then it will cause this also. I think there are 2 at the rear of the main paper assy connector at the rear of machine and should also be 1 on the left inside rear of main paper transport assy.

xcopytech: the documentation you provided is of DC6060.
milo: i was thinking on the same lines ..for the heater unit the power comes from connectors just behind it. Iwill check those contacts tomorrow

edit: milo: i have checked the connector already. checked a lot of things so a bit hazy now .I checked the continuity from the back of the connector fixed on the machine and with the p/r assy lamp using an extended cable and keeping the drawer assy locked. There was continuity so i am not sure of the connector part now

Like xcopytech says, drawer is the same for dc6060 and dc5000 so the problems are pritty much the same
    BGM Drawer Latch Problem.pdf

First of all if I were you, is to eliminate the drawer problems this can cause various error codes. Take a look of both pdf files, mine and the one from xcopytech. Once you have 100% working latching then start to search for power supply problems.
    Good luck.
