    Nope. 73xx is older EA-HG and 75xx is newer EA-Eco. The newer toner requires less heat, so the machines designed for it provide less heat, but the older toners require more heat, so using older toner in newer machines means the toner wouldn't likely get 'heated' enough and would probably flake off the paper more easily.

    Does anyone know what kind of toner use old Xerox DocuColor 4 and Xerox Docucolor 40 machines.
    are they compatible with Xerox DocuColor 12 toner or not?

    WorkCentre 73xx is EA-HG.
    WorkCentre 74xx is EA-HG.
    WorkCentre 75xx is EA-Eco.
    WorkCentre 78xx is EA-Eco.

    Phaser series printers always have a WorkCentre equivalent (except the Okidata ones which they don't do anymore) but the model number's DON'T necessarily match up. For example, the Phaser 7500's copying cousin is the WorkCentre 74xx series, not the WorkCentre 75xx series, meaning the Phaser is EA-HG. The Phaser 7800 is EA-Eco, though, like it's cousins the WorkCentre 75xx and 78xx.

    Do you know, can i use toner from WorkCentre 78xx for Phaser 7800?
