I presume that's an A4 printed LEF so that the problem is inboard to outboard? If that's the case you may just need to do a nip adjustment of the fuser by the looks of your print. Otherwise do a max setup and see what happens, could also be dirt in the ROS or other things but try the NIP adjustment first.

He speak about copy so first I do is to clean optical system of scanner ( glass mirrors , exposure lamp, etc )
And nip adjustments is the last adj you may do.

Just that the kind of mottled effect I see on his scan looks very much like the problems I see on my own DC12 when one side of the fuser isn't giving enough pressure

Yes, first of all clean optics and charge corona assy, then run Max Setup.

I agree, I will look at the fuser, wend you have a problem with the optic the effect will be the same on all print.

I find most print quality issues are delated to developer assemblys...start by checking those...and doing max set up

Hi, the other thing that I will do is a panic stop, print some document and wend you have one on the output tray just open the front door and look at the print before the fuser. Is the defect is on the print your problem is related to optic, drum, dev or any other before fusing. Is there no problem or the print look even then is your fuser.

Do max setup and check the dev bias adjustments. (top part of the IOT highlight adj routine) the values should normally be at 128 for each dev assy.. Lower/raise the number in each color to increase/decrease the dev bias voltage to match the inboard part of the test pattern that is printed. Don't go lower than 98 or higher than 158 in each color. If you still have a problem check the charge screen on the drum assy and try cleaning.
