Unhappy My Docucolor 250 is not starting up....

Hi guys, When I switch the power on my Docucolor 250 the DADF goes up and down and after that nothing..... The screen flashes the progress bar continuosly and the INTERRUPT green light keeps on blinking. I can't make heads or tails of it. The service network where I live is very bad, you could almost say the worst. I have got the service manual and have done exactly what it says in the case of DC 3.3, 5.5 and 12 v repair, but I am unable to locate the problem. Please help!

Hi Adrian, Thank you for the reply. Please correct me if I am wrong but I think the machine needs to be powered on to use the PWS. That is where the problem lies. It won't idle. The screen won't even open. Only shows the progress bar and the Interrupt light keeps on blinking. The machine was running smoothly yesterday. Do you think the main lvps could be the culprit?

Yes the manual say the copier must be ready for using pws tool but sometimes it can connect to machine even the touch screen show 1/3 progress bar.
You say 5 3,3 12 is good. Fuser is warm, trays are lift-up ? Special boot modes are using ?
Nothing to loose if you try to connect with pws tool

your right I did see in eureka about the lvps being the culprit for blank screen and blinking lights a loss of 24v causes that.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Hi again, Adrian! Actually, no. The trays don't lift up and the fuser isn't warm. only the DADF tray lifts up and down and that's it. The screen shows the progress bar at 1/3 position and it starts to go off and on continuosly. And the special boot modes don't work either. I must mention here that some days earlier the HDD inside the printer gave an error and so I restored it using special boots mode (STOP+POWERSAVER+4). And this thing started to happen right after that. I am at my tether's end. Thanks again for your reply.

Hi Knightfall, actually I measured 24 VDC in the Tray 5 connector port or whatever it is called. The MCU shows 3.3.vdc and 5 vdc as ok. I also lifted the JPG board in the ESS and the four coloured lights in the ESS were also lit up. Thank you for your reply.
