As I said, cover the yellow ros window and do same print test. If the Y band is still on the paper the ros unit is good. If theY band disappear then may be the ros unit is defective. Print from service menu yellow print tests at 10%, 20%, 30%, 50% coverage. If all the test prints are uniform then again the ros is good
Update:
Fitted new yellow ros and everything looked good for around 50 copies/prints.
Then yellow band started to return, it now comes and goes!
It's driving me mad! Any advice would be great
When the fault is there yellow is missing from the print apart from the 1-2 inch band at the top of the sheet. It's like it's squashing all the yellow to the top of the sheet.
I've never had this before on any brand of machine.
Less importantly there are three little marks on each copy/print around 19cm apart. They're there on colour, mono and single colour (always black marks). They're not coming from drums or transfer belt?
Ideas please? Thank you.
So, all the yellow is missing from the print and its all condensed into a band of yellow at the top of the sheet?
Drum and DV units have been changed or tested and found working.
New ROS assembly installed.
I would try the image processing pwb next. If the laser is not the cause then the laser is getting the wrong instructions on where to expose the drum.
These flat cables could also make problems. You should try changing them before replacing board.
After changing ROS MaxSetup procedure was done ?
