    driver issue

    I have a xerox 6400 that keeps giving me a holding resource in job status mainly on #10 envelopes. It comes and goes I tried changing driver to ps from pcl and it worked for a while and started doing the same thing again

    Go to Xerox.com to see if there is a firmware update for your machine.

    They also have instructions on how to do it.

    A hold for resources means that what you are telling the printer to print on (from the driver) does not match what the printer thinks it has loaded in the tray. Instead of designating the the driver to print on envelope, try just designating the tray that the envelopes are loaded on. I've seen that help.

    I need to add another problem this pcl driver started doing on the windows test print was shrinking the size to the #10 envelope size on the tray 2 (8.5x 11).
    When I loaded a ps driver the test print was normal.
