7428 teething problems
Hi All,
Looking for someone with some wisdom on the Xerox Workcentre 7428.
We have just acquired this machine and have no paper work or any useful engineer soft tools and I have wasted much time trawling the internet to find answers to the following.
I am hoping someone in this forum could guide me.
Firstly the machine appears to be only PCL enabled rather than Postscript... checked on the config report and the centreware Langauge emulations of PCL and TIFF/JPEG only |

PCL |

(i.e. if you want to print from a PC or MAC you have to use the PCL driver else will return a 016 749 error code.)
Whilst using a PCL is OK for the PC users as Xerox produces a driver for that platform, the MAC users can only use a default driver which doesn't allow for any of the printer features at all.
What do we need to get to change this?
Secondly, the image position is about 10mm out from centre (20mm if you duplex) however I cannot for the life of me see in the admin settings on the machine or centre ware anything that allows you to calibrate or move the image position. Is this machine locked down, certain features hidden or unactivated in the menus?
How can you move the image position vertically and horizontally?
Anyones help would be gratefully received
