    phaser 3635 mfp replacement procedure

I have changed a mfp board on a phaser 3635 for a reboot issue after changing the hdd. When I change the mfp board the machine does not even come up at all it just is a dead machine.
Is there a protocol for replacement of the mfp board. If there is I am unaware of it. Please assist with what I should do other than swapping over the nvram and memory stick I figured that out.
    Any info will be appreciated.

If the ram memory holders are white then the machine no boot with hdd connected. You must start the machine without hdd.
If they are black then must boot with connected hdd but you can try to start machine without hdd an see what next.
Also can be a difference between main pwb firmware version and UI pwb version so you need to reload firmware to the upper version.

I have tried to boot up with hdd unplugged and with it plugged in neither works with new board is there a flash card set up dim for this model cause the old board does boot up with hdd unplugged and plugged in either way.
I am not sure what procedure is for mfp replacement can some one attach the service manual insert that has that so I can warranty the mfp board if it is bad?
Not sure other ways to do flash update for firmware I was able to update old board after hdd replaced through web image monitor on the ie.
I either have a bad mfp board or I am not doing the proper procedure when installing it can someone please assist and save me allot of headache and aggravation thanks.
I repeat I do not have a service manual and can not get one till my boss is back from his vacation so any help is greatly appreciated. This is one of four in field that I have to service on occasion.
