    Xerox dc 240 - High Capacity feeder error 078-103 & 078-151

    Hello

Yesterday one of my machines a dc 240 kept on jamming any kind of paper and format on the high capacity feeder.
All the other trays work fine.

I've already seen if theres any piece of paper jamming it, but no, there isn't none.

The paper gets pulled but it doesn't leave the tray 6 (high capacity feeder), i cant say if its any of the sensor.
It keeps on jamming it doesn't pull sheet of paper.

    Please check the video

    Please help
    Thank you all in advance

    Cheers

    Rui

Have you tried replacing the feed rollers? (Nudger , Feed, Retard)
If the rollers are new, check for a cracked gear on the feed motor shaft.
Also, check for cracks on the torque limiter (on the retard roller shaft).

Before I replaced the rollers (good idea anyway) I would remove the top cover on the feeder so I could see what it's doing. It may be a simple fix. make sure the paper path is clear and nothing is bent along the way.

2 screws on the top and 2 and 2 on the back.

Thank you all for your quick reply.

The rollers are new with only a couple of months aprox. 3.000 copies

i've tried to watch if anything is unusual or cracked in the feeding area but everything seems ok.
Also I've put a thick sra3 paper passing by hand on the paper path to see if there could any paper blocking but everything look clear

    can't figure out what's the problem. : /

i notice that when the machine stops it always stops the paper exactly on the same position
    Like seen on the video

i've put some new pictures and video for you to watch.

    thank you all in advance.!

Remove the top cover so you can see what it's doing. In cases like this you need to be a detective. Try giving the paper a little help, the solenoid may be bad or you may have a problem with the gears in the back.

Thankfully these feeders are fairly simple to fix.

    Thank you very much.

    Like you said (detective work)!

Opening the high capacity tray on the back (like you said) and putting the machine on and trying to feed the paper i saw two tooth gears that didn't seem to be on contact with one another, give it a little help and put them on contact with one another and Problem Fixed!

The machine is up and running.! ; )

    Thank you all again.

    Cheers
