    Drum on Docucolor WC 7655.

    Good evening.
Sorry for the intrusion: I'm a Canon technician and I would have to question about the drum of the WC 7655.
I saw that a new drum is initialized by a microfuse.

If I'm not too indiscreet .... What is the value that microfuse?

    Thanks.

It is not reset by a fuse. It has a CRUM chip on it that tells the machine it is new and then counts down from 100% to 0%. If you took a drum out of a machine that was showing 50% life it would show 50% in another machine.

The crum chips are replaceable though. They are read by RF and located behind for front cover of the drums.
Black drum crum part # is DC250CNB
Color drum crum part # is DC250CNC
