Post Xerox dc 252 printing colors off register.

    Hi everyone,
I have a Xerox DC 252 that just started printing all colours off register, especially cyan and magenta are off by 0.5 mm. Any idea how to fix this.
    Your help is much appreciatd.

Could be any number of things, start by doing the following. Then do Test pattern 1 in full color to test the registration

    Under Registration:

    Registration Measuring Cycle
    Registration Control Sensor Check Cycle
    Registration Control-Setup Cycle

    Good Luck

I noticed that the problem seems to be with black only, itīs off register by 1 mm. All other colors line up in register. I changed a new black drum but still the same.

I removed the MOB assembly an cleaned the sensors with a dry cloth, but only made matters worst. Now it seems that all 4 colors are out of register. Before it was just the black.
    any ideas?

Enter Diagnostics and select System settings / Common settings / Maintenance & Diagnostics / Subsystem / Belt Edge Learn / START button, (wait for: Routine complete) / Close / Registration / Registration Measurement Cycle / Start (wait for: Routine complete) / Registration Control Setup / START button, (wait for the routine to complete) / Close / Exit.

Tried all this, same registration problem persists. I even changed the MOB sensor with another one. But still have the same registration problem.

Print from machine service menu one A4 sheet with magenta 40%, A4 with cyan same coverage, A4 yellow and A4 black. Check how these papers looks. Post here.

    Hello ,

Just in case check for black drum drive motor , the ones with the long shaft , color ones are interchangeable but only one black , also check for the motor PWBA and last resort save your NVM data first the resets all NVM's just to clear any data corruption , -------- remember save your machine NVM'S first ---------------------- .

    hope this help,

Registration Problem is fixed, turn out to be a faulty MOB. Now I have another problem: the machine is dispensing a lot of cyan Toner at start up.
the belt is full of solid cyan. which in turns give error 042-326.
I cleaned the belt, got the machine to run. I can hear some noise, as if some motor is failing. it lasts about 10 sec., then the machine prints colors but no cyan.
What's going on with the cyan?
