    Fitch U.S. Muni Surveillance: City & County of Denver, Colorado Revs Affirmed at 'AA'

    In the course of routine surveillance, Fitch Ratings affirms the 'AA' rating on the City & County of Denver, Colorado's (the city) $24.3 million of outstanding wastewater revenue bonds, series 2002. The bonds are payable from a senior lien on and pledge of the net revenues of the wastewater management division (enterprise) of the city. The Rating Outlook is Stable.The 'AA' rating reflects the enterprise's strong financial performance, low leverage ratios, and stable and diverse service area. Operating margins could decline due to increased operating costs from continued rate increases imposed by the enterprise's wholesale treatment provider, Metro Wastewater Reclamation
