Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
Oh, there are click bait websites on both sides of the political spectrum. Some just run boring stories with sensational headlines, but some actually make stuff up and try to pass it off as the truth.Comment

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
What are you guys even talking about right now?
Copier Addict, are you challenging the story that HC defended a child raper and then laughed about it?
Click Bait is any way to get someone to click on a link, political or otherwise... usually because the end page has ads on it where the site owner gets paid each time the ad is shown, as opposed to each time someone clicks on the ad. Although, sometimes the reasons for it are more complicated. For example, if someone is getting paid to get traffic to a site and is getting paid on a per-visitor basis. And then, of course, there are the people who want to give a quick rise in google's rank, so that that site can then link to other pages, which would, in turn, give those other pages higher rank. But ultimately, Click Bait is just what it sounds like.Comment

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
TO me, it doesn't really matter if the stories are true. The one about HC is. I remember it coming up briefly during Bill's campaign. Back then, though, it was poor etiquette to go after a candidate's wife. I guess all bets were off when it was Trump's wifel
EDIT - What I meant to say was, "It doesn't matter where the stories come from AS LONG AS the stories are true." The way I said, it sounds like I'm saying I don't care whether or not they are true.Last edited by theengel; 06-29-2017, 02:33 PM.Comment

At least we do our own work and frequently provide links to sources to support what we say. If I occasionally comment with my opinion I usually specify "in my opinion'" and I am the foremost expert on my opinion.Comment

What I am trying to say is, if a website carries stories about mummified aliens and Rob Lowe almost getting killed by bigfoot (obviously untrue) I will use some discretion while reading other stories on that site.Comment

I am quite the expert on my own opinion as well. Haha.

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
Then again copier addict like a lot of leftists does not seem to grasp the concept of satire, which the story headlines were for, actually were. Just about any website that reports on news items also has a section for entertainment. Pointing out blurbs for the stories he decided made the entire website unreliable is like listening to the news and deciding the ads they play promoting other shows on the network makes the news dept unreliable. You do notice he has not said anything about the reliability of the Huffington Post website as a reliable news source even though that was the actual source for the Rob Lowe story.Comment

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
Ah let's see you challenged me to come up with references of the leftist tilt taken by Snopes. I did. Then instead of actually countering the webpage story's accuracy, not website, you post a rebuttal of a news story blurb on the home page that was not on the actual page linked in my reference and claim any story posted as news is therefore suspect. Sorry but once again you do not follow your own criteria. yes i did check out the Rob Lowe story and found it is common to Newswire and Huffington post. Hmm seem to have missed where you added that any story on the Huffington post is therefore now suspect too. Just to explain it so even you may be able to understand. Both website post entertainment, the section the aliens and Rob Lowe stories were gathered, stories for the amusement of their readers. Is that easy enough for you to understand or have you not received your instructional materials from your safe space guidance mentor?Comment

Sometimes reading all of what a person types will save one from needlessly insulting another.Comment

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!
No but the tone and implication of your answer was the story and website were unreliable just because of a headline blurb. And by inference my posting the actual link to the story about snopes.com and it drift to the left. Yes I know you actually used sarcasm when answering and implying the website as a news source was unreliable because of the headline blurb.Comment
