Every once in awhile, I force myself to watch the Fox News night time opinion hosts like Hannity etc.

It is striking how strongly they accuse all information sources other than pro Trump ones as being false news and resort to strong doses of name calling.

I could not believe that Hannity continues tonight to strongly suggest that it was Ukraine and not Russia that attacked the USA 2016 Presidential election. This is clearly as confirmed by all official US Intelligence communities to be a classic Russian disinformation campaign.

On another CTN forum called "Let the truth be known" you actually have US citizens shamefully condemning Lt. Col Vindman, an active 20 year military veteran and Purple heart recipient (victim of an IED attack in Iraq) of being disloyal to the President because of his factual testimony in the recent Impeachment hearings. Whatever ever happened to "thank you for your service"?

I do not think the Republican news media has many facts to defend themselves with in regards to the relentless and increasing wave of charges and court findings of wrongdoing by the President and his close supporters. Their defence seems to be to present an alternate reality that ignores the facts being accumulated against Trump every day.

Fox News is a very powerful media source in the USA with a large and loyal following. Fox hopes that its followers do not consume any media outside their conservative (right wing to far right) information silos. For approx 40% of Americans and many on this thread that seems to be true.

Despite all of this negative news coverage, polls report that peoples opinions have not changed very much during the impeachment process. Both sides take what they want from these hearings to reinforce their own opinions.

According to your own source support for Trump rose from a terrible 24% to a horrible 30%. 70% of those people polled still plan to vote Trump out of office in Nov 2020.

I would tend to agree that there is not much point in pursuing impeachment any further. The motion could likely pass the House but will almost certainly fail in the Senate. A public censure of the President saying that his behaviour was unacceptable is the best outcome so that the fractured US gov't could move forward with the business of governing.

Trump has no path to win the popular vote. He lost it the popular vote by 3M votes in 2016. His only hope is to once again win the Electoral College.

the state of CA has had over 3million voters taken off the voting list due to being criminals/illegals/fraud, so if Killary won the 'popular vote' by 3 million... it seems to me that CA (and others) have proven the NEED for the electoral college.

but they can dig up their "facts" all day long, as most have already been de-bunked!

Even though it was decided that the citizenship question would not be placed on the census, the democrats still want to paint the Trump admin as having done something "illegal" by wanting to add the question. They are now suing AG Barr and Wilbur Ross for not handing over "certain" documents related to the "decision making" process. If you read the complaint, part of their statement is that Trump (Executive Branch) and his counterparts "wanted to add this question from day One after being inaugurated". They go on to say later that, "The stakes for Congress and the American people could not be higher, nor the consequences of the ongoing injury more profound." in regards to Barr and Ross not handing over these documents, and in regards to the census being "changed", which it has not. The Impeachment is failing, so the dems have gotten their Fishing Poles back out just waiting for that next "bite", but in reality they suck at fishing, and just keep pulling up sea-weed.

It still begs the question....Why wouldn't the dems want an accurate count of citizen vs. non-citizen? Would that mess up how much money their districts get? Would it mess up the number of illegal votes they receive? Would it reshape "certain maps"? Would it DEFINITELY impact them for Decades to come? I think we all know the answer.

not only CA, NY IL WI MN would also suffer major hits.

I know here in NC we have had to redo the districts near charlotte and winston salem for those exact reasons.

we are now fighting over: IS a college student from another state/country legal to vote in NC JUST because they spend over a year as a resident? And that also pertains to some illegal DREAMERS that live in those ares. It seems there were 1,500 dreamers that 'somehow' got on the voting roles in those areas. 6 democratic 'officials' are either in jail or going thru court now for putting those people on the voting lists.

BUT out wonderful Governor Cooper is signing page after page of legislation to make it so, and has turned down EVERY "Voter ID" bill to ever cross his desk, is even contemplating passing a state "Sanctuary State" bill, I hope out grass roots effort will turn over the seat to repubs this 2020.

This is why I put more work into local election efforts than the federal ones.. I mean prime example " Dick Burr and Thommie Tillis in the US Senate. They will be going out also.
