Joe Biden has promised that he will choose a female to be his Vice President, the first female VP in US history.

President Trump polls poorly with women, blacks and hispanics. These people combined make up the majority of the US population.

Stacey Abrams is a black, female politician who narrowly lost a recent Governor's election in Georgia but has risen to national prominence with her continued fight for voter rights.

I do not think many people care or know about Mondale/ Ferraro in the 1980s. It was a completely different time in American history when WASPs (White Anglo Saxon Protestants) had a much greater influence on society.

Forcing people to vote yesterday in Wisconsin during the height of the Corona Virus pandemic to exact political advantage for the Republican party was a huge political error that few voters will forget in November.

There is the slight chance that Joe Biden could select Barack Obama to be his Vice President!

The 22nd Amendment states, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”

Of course, Obama has already served two full four-year terms as commander in chief. However, the way the 22nd Amendment is worded, the key words appear to be “elected to the office of the president.”

In 2015, Cornell Law School Professor Michael Dorf said he believes a past president who is ineligible to seek the Presidency through an election can still run on a ticket as a vice president. His comments came when some asked whether a Biden-Obama ticket could occur in the 2016 election.

“The drafters of this language [22nd Amendment] knew the difference between getting elected to an office and holding an office. They could have just said ‘no person may hold the office of president more than twice.’ But they didn’t.”

Federal Support Ends For Coronavirus Testing Sites As Pandemic Peak Nears
Some local officials are disappointed the federal government will end funding for coronavirus testing sites this Friday. In a few places those sites will close as a result. This as criticism continues that not enough testing is available.
