I wrote this post for the purpose of clearly laying out the alternatives to building wind turbines in our ocean after conferring with many people a lot smarter than me, which doesn't take much in this technical area-and I found it fascinating and thought I would put my thoughts together, a lot to read and not necessary, but I found it fascinating! ~Thanks to all who helped me with this research.
What started out with me answering someone in a small sub- post about how I am personally going to destroy the world because by me not wanting any Windmills in Saltwater, I am forcing the world to drill for more oil in our oceans and I totally will be responsible for the cataclysmic collapse of our entire Planet Earth!

After I told the guy to calm down and take a few Valium, I tried to explain to him that I am not in favor of drilling for oil in our oceans and I thought my overview is worth sharing with all of you in an expanded version.

First of all, much of this I learned from one particular friend of mine who is a brilliant electrical engineer I've mentioned quite a bit-he is the one who got me started on this mission and told me...

"Mike, don't worry, this project will never get anywhere because any half brained nitwit electrical engineer would know the whole concept of building wind turbines in the ocean in a saltwater environment would take someone who is an idiot!"
Apparently, there are a lot of idiots in the government and a tremendous amount of idiots as governors along the eastern seaboard of the US-but let's not go there again, let's stick with the facts.
Number one, burning fossil fuel to create electricity also is idiotic, and one day future generations will look back on that as a crime against nature and pure stupidity.
HOWEVER, there is a huge difference between needing oil and needing Wind Turbines in our oceans, or anywhere, and that is we need oil as the basic foundation of so much of what we make and use as as building materials in everything that surrounds us!
Discontinue Windmills in Saltwater tomorrow??? NOTHING will change, except the whales wil have a party and get drunk! - BUT if we discontinue the use of oil, our entire physical world would fall apart and most of us would be running around naked!
Take a careful look at your computer mouse right now, or your iPhone or Android... is it made of seaweed, hemp and white rice? No, it is made of petrochemicals, including much of everything that surrounds us these days.
Is your roof made out of straw? No-it is not, it is made most probably of petrochemicals, so we don't have to worry about the Big Bad Wolf blowing it down!
The world runs on petrochemicals from a construction standpoint, every microchip, so much that surrounds us! My gosh! I have Astroturf in my backyard, I don't want to start mowing REAL grass!! It's made of petrochemicals!
Enough of that, I think you get the picture we cannot live without oil in the modern world we have built. You might also look at every electrical wire and the shielding, they are made of petrochemical plastics, even some of the new wire utilizing fiber-optic cables have cores of petrochemical compounds! The list goes on and on!
So no, we cannot say "goodbye" to petrochemicals, it ain't happening! But we certainly can say goodbye to Windmills in Saltwater in the strong words of GET THE FU*K OUT OF HERE!

Ladies and Gentlemen of our Facebook page, I'm not out to save the world with lies and BS, I'm trying to be that Voice of Reason to make people understand that going down the slippery slope, and it's not even a slippery slope is the slope of idiots thinking building wind turbines in our oceans, and are again anywhere-all of you who are fighting these wind turbines on land, our beautiful countryside, in Scotland, I HATE THE WHOLE FU*KING CONCEPT BECAUSE IT'S BUILT ON A LIE AND A GREEN ENERGY SCAM!
Believe me, and if you don't want to believe me that's okay, the answer is the clean and reliable 24/7 power of NEW Nuclear Energy - THAT is our solution!
It is not just to run around and complain about wind turbines and dead whales, - and that is very important to me, BUT it is not the total focus of my objection, rather it's a collateral damage effect, but the very concept itself, the very basic electrical engineering moronic lunacy of building wind turbines in a setting of the ocean with saltwater, hurricanes, electrolysis, and yes as I always say 10,000 miles of copper cable needed just to support the program from Maryland to Maine with 5,000 wind turbines and every one of them will leak hydraulic fluid and diesel fuel to keep them running, each one having their own diesel generators and they only run when the wind is blowing!
Additionally then we would need Battery Storage Systems on land to store the energy! - This insanity is a whole entire bunch of COMPLETE FU*KING NONSENSE!!

I know some of you must think "This guy Mike Jacobs is a complete nut how can he think he knows more than all these politicians!"

Good people on our Facebook page, I'm not that smart, IT'S JUST THAT THEY ARE THAT DUMB!!! ~And they want Green Energy to be REAL!!!!- just like I wanted Santa Claus to be real when I was a kid and I had no idea it really was my Mother and Father leaving little Mike money under my pillow when I was hoping my teeth would fall out as a child so I could get RICH!!!!

People who believe in this concept of wind turbines in our ocean are delusional! It's a sickness, and we are paying the price as well as our beloved oceans and the sea-life therein, as I always say from whales to snails!

I want to leave you with this if any of you are still reading this, I asked my MIT friend to do some research for me, Google it, AI, whatever he does, he most probably does it all-and the thought came to me and it started with that little sub- post I wrote, how much oil would it take to replace the amount of energy that a Baseball sized piece of uranium possessed to make electricity?
        Hold onto your hats now!

A baeball sized piece of uranium utilized to produce electricity, if it was compared to oil, would take 2.2 MILLION gallons of oil!!
If you want to go to wildest example… A basketball size piece of uranium would require 74 MILLION GALLONS OF OIL!

Can you imagine the carbon footprint of how much it would take to move around 74 million gallons of oil, versus a basketball size piece of uranium?
For the record, that basketball size piece of uranium would produce zero air pollution in the reactor, no soot, no smog and would deliver 24/7 carbon free power without burning a drop of petrochemicals, or flirting with oil tank disasters.
Furthermore as I have mentioned before, as they are planning to build 5,000 wind turbines just from Maryland to Maine, and to bring that power to shore they will need to blast 10,000 miles of incredibly thick copper cables into our oceans, support them with substations in our oceans to transform the electricity to get to shore, thousands of miles of cables in land running through residential neighborhoods, then they will need those huge BESS lithium battery storage facilities which are incredibly dangerous to the neighborhoods, so they have backup electricity for when the wind isn't blowing!
I want you to compare that to the option of having only 25 small new nuclear technology facilities-and that would accomplish and achieve the same electrical power, with a fraction of the cost, a fraction of the maintenance of servicing 5,000 wind turbines and 10,000 miles of copper cable in the oceans would do no damage to navigational threats, would not be a national security risk where our electric grid power is offshore and very vulnerable to enemy sabotage. And that doesn't even start to get into the size of the carbon footprint necessary to build all of those 5,000 wind turbines, or the 15,000 wind turbine blades, each one longer than a football field, and with every rotation, putting toxic micro-plastics into our ocean and into the mouths of sea life-THIS IS INSANITY ON STEROIDS!
MY GOSH! IS ANYBODY ALIVE WHO HAS COMMON SENSE THESE DAYS???!

Sorry for the rant, I am just a fan of common sense and I absolutely can't stand stupidity at the expense of our beautiful oceans, but I must learn to calm down.
What's most important is that we all work together to educate the public about these facts, and that's why I emphasize if you believe these points are worth the public knowing, this is a public Facebook page and all posts are shareable,-if you think the public can learn from these, you will be part of the solution if you share the information.
Again, I apologize for the length of this post, but it's a very complicated situation to research, and my motivation is to try my best to explain these dynamics and also leave a better world for our children.

Thank you all ~~ and NEVER SURRENDER!!!! ~~Mike Jacobs

Salt Water four feet deep through the whole first floor does a number on a house. Not an experience I’d wish on anyone. That being said, I’ve lived a short walk from the ocean for over 30 years and I can tell you there has been no discernible change in the sea level. You can even go to my town’s museum and look at 100 year old pictures of waterfront structures that are still in place and see that the water level hasn’t changed any significant amount.

Bullshit ! I live on the ocean in Nova Scotia. I have 80' of Sandy beach. A woman once told me that my beach feels like brown sugar on her ass.

Climate change is all around me every day.

                      You walk with the dinosaurs.

There has never been a time that the climate wasn’t slowly changing. There is no threat. It’s normal and it’s nobody’s fault and government certainly can’t control it.
