Apple jelly or blackberry jam will do. I really like a natural crunchy peanut butter, but at my age the peanuts do not digest well and end up as a butthole irritant the next day, so I keep creamy at my crib.

I happen to be The Sandwich Guru.

For a proper PB&J, you put smooth peanut butter (natural is ok) on one piece, jam or jelly (only grape works) on the other, and put them together.

You know what I really hate, is those people who don't make the pb & j go all the way to the sides. People who just put a dab right in the middle. I want to castrate such people.

My Miss bakes fresh sour dough bread from scratch.

I can eat it on its own.


As for the PB & J.
PB first as it is thicker to spread and then jam ( apricot in my case :St.Dalfour - Thick Appricot) yummy..

The perfect Peanut butter and Jam for me is on "air bread" with simply Jif and Blackberry jam and of course it has to go all the way to the edge of the bread.

"air Bread" is any cheap soft bread that you find in the grocery store Soft n Good or Aunt Millies would be a couple of examples. I only like that bread for pb&j or grilled cheese

Having an argument with the Wife. When you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Do you put jelly directly on the bread or do you put a thin layer of peanut butter then the jelly? the purpose of the thin layer would be so the jelly doesn't saturate the bread.

Crunchy peanut putter on one side, grape jelly on the other, place in the fridge or lunchbox for a few hours for maximum bread/jelly absorption, eat and enjoy, fucking yum.

Wheather it's chunky or plain, on bread or crackers, the jelly is best if it's 'pepper jelly' - a savory treat IMHO.
