In the Republicans’ disinformation campaign, the arrested Capitol rioters are political prisoners and Speaker Nancy Pelosi is to blame for the attack.

In the hours and days after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, rattled Republican lawmakers knew exactly who was to blame: Donald J. Trump. Loyal allies began turning on him. Top Republicans vowed to make a full break from his divisive tactics and dishonesties. Some even discussed removing him from office.

This past week, amid the emotional testimony of police officers at the first hearing of a House select committee, Republicans completed their journey through the looking-glass, spinning a new counter narrative of that deadly day. No longer content to absolve Mr. Trump, they concocted a version of events in which those accused of rioting were patriotic political prisoners and Speaker Nancy Pelosi was to blame for the violence.

Their new claims, some voiced from the highest levels of House Republican leadership, amount to a disinformation campaign being promulgated from the steps of the Capitol, aimed at giving cover to their party and intensifying the threats to political accountability.

... you only want to deflect blame from the ex President.

... the ex President has many criminal legal proceedings advancing against him. If convicted, do you still think he is fit to run for re-election?

1). I have never denied that a violent crowd of all sorts of different "supporters" (Antifa, BLM, democrat, far-right, far-left, Trump, Biden) gained entry to the capitol. Evidence shows that a few extremist groups had been planning this attack since well before the election in November even took place! And other evidence shows people associated with BLM and Antifa being present while wearing Trump Gear. Facebook and Twitter posts comfirm this.

2). I believe in due process, he's not guilty of anything until they can PROVE IT! Again, plenty of evidence to show that a few extremist groups had this pre-planned for the better part of a year! Also, why wasn't there an official timeline of events presented by the democrats during the impeachment trial? Something like 74 THOUSAND HOURS of footage from that day, and they couldn't give us a definitive timeline of events??? What's up with that?

3). Of the 15 "Major Pending litigations", 10 of them are for various low level/ non-criminal dealings such as; 2 cases for "Defamation (he hurt my feelings by saying I lied)", 3 or 4 related to "Trump's finances" including Mary Trump saying she didn't get her "fair share of an inheritance", and it's looking like those will fall on their face, a couple concerning the Trump organization which multiple online sources say look "improbable of leading to any convictions", and the rest are the BS Jan. 6th suits by Swalwell (Chinese Spy Fucker), the NAACP and "Capitol Police".
If Convicted he CAN STILL run for president. Nowhere in our constitution does it say that you can't run for President after being convicted of a "Crime". It all depends on the voters. If he gets more votes than the other guy, than that would say that people still think he's "fit" to be in office.
