Small fund raiser for an animal shelter near me

I have a small finder raiser I started for Special Pals an animal shelter near my home. They do not euthanize the animals and I know they do some rudimentary training with the dogs. The link is below. Thanks so much.

Barely able to afford to feed the feral cats that come to my front door. They could check with Hannah Shaw, The Kitten Lady, or her Orphan Kitten Club for help with fund raising, fostering and placing for adoption. She has Facebook for both. Her husband, I Am The Cat Photographer on Facebook, might be able to do some quality photo shoots of the animals they have for adoption.

Thank you Tricky. I did go back and I think made the changes necessary. Please let me know.

Thanks slimbob. I will pass that on to the folks at Special Pals.

I do this every year around my birthday. Not a big fundraiser, just a little something to help.

My wife and I have over the years taken in some dogs and even fostered some dogs from Special Pals. Although our current award winning dog we found in our garage after a severe thunderstorm 12 years ago.

My wife also feeds many feral cats in the neighborhood as well as traps quite a few and takes them to be fixed. She also has a bunch of bird feeders hanging in the back yard. Except for our award winning dog (I prefer canines over all other pet species), I'm not so crazy about all the animal support my wife does, but back her 100%. After all, she puts up with my band activity, my only hobby.

My mother is the biggest dog lover I've ever seen in my life. She would see a stray dog on the side of the road and bring it back home. At one point, I think she had about 35 dogs. She built pens to separate the dogs because they would fight. Between the food and vet bills, she was spending all her money and barely able to cover all her bills. I would get a call from her every month and I would help her pay her bills. Really, what I was doing is paying for those dogs and enabling her to get more. I finally had to have a serious talk with her.

Folks started dumping dogs in front or her house or down the road because they knew she would take them in. All of this started when me and my brothers and sisters moved of the house and she was an empty nester.
