    Trump Tax

President-elect Donald Trump said he “can’t guarantee anything” when asked whether his proposed tariffs would increase prices for American families, in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” that aired Sunday.

    Congratulations

It appears that both Canada and Mexico will do what Trump said and secure the border. If so, there will be no tariffs.

I usually don't waste key strokes on you but I think you're getting close to learning something about taxes. When democrats raise taxes on the rich, we end up paying higher prices for goods and services.

When Republicans give you tax breaks to the rich the middle class pays and when Trump slaps a tarrif on imported goods everyone pays

So ends another Billy from Mississippi lesson for the day

Biden finalizes increases to some of Trump’s China tariffs

The Biden administration said Friday that it has finalized tariff hikes on certain Chinese-made products that the president first announced in May.

The tariff rate will go up to 100% on electric vehicles, to 50% on solar cells and to 25% on electrical vehicle batteries, critical minerals, steel, aluminum, face masks and ship-to-shore cranes beginning September 27, according to the US Trade Representative’s Office.

Tariff hikes on other products, including semiconductor chips, are set to take effect over the next two years.

People shop at a retail shoe store in Manhattan on January 05, 2024 in New York City.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday that Americans “are beginning to wake up to the real reality that tariffs on everything from Canada would make life a lot more expensive" and said he will retaliate if Donald Trump goes ahead with them.
Trump later responded by calling Canada a state and Trudeau the governor.

                          Hey, dummy, .....

The Trump administration imposed nearly $80 billion worth of new taxes on Americans by levying tariffs on thousands of products valued at approximately $380 billion in 2018 and 2019, amounting to one of the largest tax increases in decades.
The Biden administration has kept most of the Trump administration tariffs in place, and in May 2024, announced tariff hikes on an additional $18 billion of Chinese goods, including semiconductors and electric vehicles, for an additional tax increase of $3.6 billion.
