Re: Green Jobs
December 2022, a Chevy Bolt EUV discount offers $6,300 off the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV all-electric subcompact crossover, which retroactively applies to any Bolt EUV purchase made in 2022. The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV receives the discount as a price drop.
Additionally, low-interest financing is available for up to 60 months on the 2022 Bolt EUV.
The Bow Tie brand also offers a national lease on the 2022 Bolt EUV LT for $289 per month for 36 months and on the 2023 Bolt EUV LT for $319 per month for 36 months, for current lessees of a 2017 model year or newer vehicleComment

Re: Green Jobs
Most people in third world and developing countries would not be able to buy, rent,or lease a electric car, so what will happen in those countries, I guess back to the donkey and cart. EV prices will have to drop drastically, even for the American and rich western countries for the average person to afford one. I guess they will come down as with all new introductions in mass over time, but I can see a the rich and poor situation play out again, as who can afford the necessities
While I do agree, the use of fossil fuels cannot go on at the same pace as today, change and meaningful change has to come from technologies that will afford people to travel and commute without severe restrictions, otherwise there will be chaos.
Then the there will be huge job loss from the elimination of the combustion engine. It employs huge segments of the auto manufacturing industry. The way I see it, is the genie is out the bottle, who's going to put him back in. The current world without fossil fuel is virtually impossible to maintain it's current way of living. There will have to be a mass die off for it to be sustainable if the renewable energy is to be introduced drastically. It all left to be seen where the future goes.
To some extent, changes has to be made, that can be made. The average household does not need most of the stuff that they accumulate. A lot of it is the lure of shopaholics, that just store up things, because they can. We have to change that lifestyle, everybody. It's a start anyway.
Packaging is another that can be reduced. Those who do new setups, can affirm the amount of packaging that goes into one machine when they are unboxed. Lots of foam, plastic and cardboard. It is horrible. I do it often and even though I separate the stuff, most I understand does not get recycled. The rules are obscure and is not enforced, so a lot goes into the landfill and is not put back into service . The copier/printer industry is a polluter, that sends its stuff to third world countries where, the vulnerable tries to eek out a living with no safegards to health.
Just do a little investigation on this and you will see all the first world countries send all their used stuff to other countries abroad. They should recycle their own stuff instead of shipping their junk abroad. The playing field in not fair.
This is my rant on this subject.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment

This article although written about a single incident with one Tesla, it is not just about Tesla or even about electric vehicles in general. It can apply to any and all driver-less autopilot vehicles.
