Re: Convert pinball to virtual pinball
I have 3 cooling fans on the wooden cabinet itself - 1 pulling air in & 2 blowing out. I also have 3 cooling fans in the PC case and I leave the cover off.
One of the many reasons I did a do-over on the electronics is because I wanted less power usage and better safety.
There are 10 car/automotive solonoids in the cabinet and they draw a lot of current. Moreover, under normal use, they're only meant to be turned on for a few seconds and not again for a good while. Think about the starter on a car??!! In a pinball machine, they're constantly being used and they get hot.
Luckily, I found a curcuit board that cuts the power in half but the solonoid still serves its intended purpose.
