Look like there will be a run off election in Alaska but it won't affect who controls the Senate as both are Republicans. And that run off will most likely be entirely in person voting as between now and December 6thwhen the run off will have to be done there is probably not enough time to print and distribute mail in ballots.

Guess what, there needs to be empty court seats before Biden can appoint judges to fill them. I doubt if any Conservative judges are going to retire in the next few years or if any are like to die suddenly of natural causes. So unless you or some other liberal is planning on assassinating some, that means he will mostly be replacing liberals with liberals. Also remember that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to stop a filibuster, even of a Judicial appointment. During the period of 2001 to 2003, Senator Ted Kennedy led an all Democrat group of 45 Senators in as filibuster of the appointment Miguel Estrada to the US Court of Appeals. Again in 2006 both Massachusetts Senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry failed in an attempt to filibuster the appointment of Judge Samuel Alito to the US Supreme Court.
