    Biden to shutdown government?

    ...

'I WILL VETO!' Biden Calls GOP 'Fiscally Demented,' Vows to Veto Any Anti-IRS Bill

Partisan politics. They refuse to compromise and would rather shutdown the government.

The lefts idea of compromise is "give us everything we want this time, and well give you something in the future", except they use the exact same phrase every time so that future never arrives.

Social security will collapse in 2035 at the latest, being just a Ponzi scheme authorized by the government at this time. All welfare programs should be state level, not federal, in any case. You seem to think (that's a laugh, you don't think) that the feds should be able to print as much money as needed to fund anything you think is important and not have it affect the economy. It just proves that you have no understanding of economics at all and should not try to have a discussion on the topic.

First off, I did say that all of those giveaways were wrong, just not here. The federal government has gotten WAY too big and controlling. Repealing the 16th and 17th amendments would allow/force shrinking it back close to where it should be. I don't expect you to understand any of this but I'll say it anyway. The only way to shrink the government is to cut funding, allowing an income tax doesn't allow that. Going to a flat sales tax might, especially if it was limited by the same amendment that would be required to repeal the amendments mentioned before. The senate was originally intended to represent the needs of the states, while the house was to represent the needs of the people. By making the senate just a super house they screwed that balance up.

Feel free to give all this unnecessary Federal funding back

How much infrastructure money did Georgia get?
Announced funding to date: To date, $3.6 billion has been announced in Georgia for roads, bridges, roadway safety, and major projects. This includes: o Over $3.4 billion in highway formula funding and $90 million in dedicated formula funding for bridges in 2022 and 2023. o $50 million through the RAISE program.

You will never understand how against federal expenditures for state level projects I am. The feds use our tax money to bribe the states to cooperate on things that they have no jurisdiction over, rather than leaving that money in the states to begin with. The worst example of this is the fact that there is no federal drinking age law, because they have no authority for such, rather, they told the states to raise the drinking age or forfeit highway funding, a complete misuse of federal powers.

He's also failing to mention that nothing would ever get done in republican states if the federal government didn't "bribe" them to do it. The infrastructure would completely collapse.
