The median income in Canada is $68,400, after taxes, according to Statistics Canada‘s income survey (2021). This means Canadians’ average monthly take-home pay is $5,700.
    You're still trying.

The two biggest countries in North America — US and Canada — are similar in many ways. But how do they compare when looking at the average salary?

Looking at the median income may give you some insight into how much you can make. According to Statistics Canada, the Canadian median income was $68,400 CAD in 2021, whereas in the same year, the US median income was $70,784 USD, according to the US Census. It doesn’t look like a massive difference but keep conversion rates in mind — $68,400 CAD is equal to $50,348 in USD.

Absolutely we're done. Hopefully you learned a few things. Like 68k in Canadian dollars = 50k in USD.

I do know that is a nothing stat. I'm not being paid in US dollars, therefore $68k is $68k

Surely, you're not that naïve. I really don't feel the need to embarrass you any further. Honest to God.

Do you realize that many of the items that Canadians buy come from America and other countries? The USA isn't giving Canada any special discount. No, son.

What does this mean? That means that your money is worth less than the American dollar. What does that mean? It means the Canadian dollar buys less than the American dollar.

Being ignorant isn't anything to be ashamed of for you. Not educating yourself is.

You see, if I visit Canada and convert $100 USD I get 143.23 CAD. Get it? Good.

Yes, but it's still only worth $100us. It doesn't magically become more valuable.

Dude, what the fuck are you talking about?

I'm very disappointed with you. You have no understanding of currency or exchange rates.

You can't compare 67k CAD with 67K USD in take home pay? Because 67K USD has much more buying power in Canada.,..and every other country.

Just stop arguing for once and learn something. Trudeau and the liberal party has failed. Big time.

And this is coming from the guy who doesn't understand tax brackets. Hahaha
I think my understanding is perfectly fine.
I don't have to compare it. I'm not spending it in the US.
So, as long as I don't earn it in Canada and spend it in the US, it's okay. Thank you for your concern.

This proves that you clearly don't understand. It doesn't matter if you spend CAD in Canada or America. Your money is worth less in Canada and the USA compared to the dollar.

So, this means that the average American takes home way more money than the average Canadian.

Things aren't "very good" in Canada as you proclaim. It's very bad. Why you deny this, I have no idea.

You know the reason you always lose these debates with me? It's because the truth is always on my side and I refuse to let you off the hook. A lot of folks don't like it because I don't let things go with you. But I think it's important to shine a light on your bullshit. It's the entire reason I started this thread.

You constantly claiming victory in no way means you win anything. Remember that.

Americans bring home way more money than Canadians and that's with healthcare factored in. You lose. Go bite your toenails off.

Boom. Trudeau is quitting like the dog that he is.

Canada PM Trudeau is likely to announce resignation, source says

OTTAWA, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is increasingly likely to announce he intends to step down, though he has not made a final decision, a source familiar with Trudeau's thinking said on Sunday.
The source spoke to Reuters after the Globe and Mail reported that Trudeau was expected to announce as early as Monday that he would quit as leader of Canada's ruling Liberal Party after nine years in office.
