The democrats will tell you why they hate Trump's VP pick...as soon as they find out who it will be. Which will be today.

Donald Trump says he’ll announce his running mate today. An adviser to the former president declined to say whether this weekend’s assassination attempt had any impact on the VP pick.

How does a guy who used to say that Donald Trump and his policies were “reprehensible,” become Donald Trump’s running mate? Through years of being a rubber-stamp for Donald Trump’s extreme, MAGA agenda. You might even say he’s the poster child for Project 2025.

      Just look at his record:
      • Vance has supported a nationwide abortion ban and even criticized exceptions for rape and incest. He actually said, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
      • He has called Social Security and Medicare “the biggest roadblocks to real fiscal sanity.”
      • He said women should stay in violent marriages.
      • He admits he wouldn’t have certified the election results immediately on January 6 if he’d been vice president, and even said that he’s “skeptical” that Pence was in danger.

What we’re up against now is one of the most extreme MAGA tickets possible. They want to implement Project 2025, continue to restrict womens’ reproductive freedoms, slash Social Security and Medicare, and rip health care away from millions -- all while giving their rich buddies tax cuts.

Trump is expanding the Republican tent

Teamsters President Delivers Historic RNC Speech, Praises ‘Tough S.O.B.’ Trump and Accuses Chamber of Commerce of Waging War Against American Workers

Teamsters President Sean M. O’Brien delivered a historic address to the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Monday evening after being invited by former President Donald Trump.

“It’s an honor to be the first Teamster in our 121-year history to address the Republican National Convention,” O’Brien told the RNC crowd, which included Trump and his running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as well as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), and Tucker Carlson.

“I want to thank President Donald Trump for opening the RNC’s doors to the Teamsters Union and inviting me to speak,” O’Brien said, noting that “heads exploded” on the Right and Left when he was invited to speak at the convention.

“Anti-union groups demanded the President rescind his invitation. The Left called me a traitor. This is precisely why it is so important for me to be here today,” O’Brien said:

President Trump had the backbone to open the doors to this Republican convention, and that’s unprecedented. No other nominee in the race would’ve invited the Teamsters into this arena. Now you can have whatever opinion you want, but one thing is clear: President Trump is a candidate who is not afraid of hearing from new, loud, and often critical voices. [Emphasis added]

Most significantly, O’Brien hailed Trump’s strength following the assassination attempt on him at a rally in western Pennsylvania.

“I think we all can agree, whether people like him or they don’t like him, in light of what happened to him on Saturday, he has proven to be one tough S.O.B.,” O’Brien said.

            Trump?

Vance openly criticized Trump in 2016 as pundits used his memoir to explain the former president's popularity with white, rural voters. He previously suggested Trump could be "America’s Hitler," called him noxious and compared him to an opioid.

Together, my Administration cut Black child poverty in half and grew the American economy to the strongest in the world.

And I am determined to restore my expanded Child Tax Credit.

No child should ever go hungry in America.

Oh No crime is down under the Biden Administration

But there is no migrant crime surge.

In fact, U.S. rates of crime and immigration have moved in opposite directions in recent years. After illegal immigration plummeted in 2020, the murder rate rose. And after illegal immigration spiked in 2021 and 2022, murders plateaued and then fell.

Over a longer period, there is no relationship between immigration and crime trends. The number of foreign-born Americans has increased for decades, while the murder rate has gone up and down at different times, as these charts by my colleague Ashley Wu show:

This will never happen because replacing a black woman with a white woman would start a civil war within the democrat party. On another note, if they replace Biden with Kamala and they lose, all hell will break lose.

As Democrats weigh Biden's future, let's remember that Trump already failed the presidential fitness test. If Republicans cared about democracy, they'd be scheming to push him aside.
