I'm hearing all the liberal democrats saying that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. Okay, cool. Then someone said that America belongs to Americans and liberals instantly were triggered. Weird party.

interesting thing when you look at history. Ever noticed the similarity between the names Palestine and Philistine. Palestine di not exist at the time of the Israeli king Saul and before. They warred with Israel and were finally defeated when a young shepherd boy killed Goliath with his sling that he used to ward off wolves from the flock. THat shepherd later became King David. Philistine itself was located in a narrow strip of land at the eastern end of the Aegean Sea now known as the Gaza Strip with the city of Gaze being their principle city and seaport as the Philistines were seafaring people of Aegean decent..

I'm watching what's going on in the world, especially in the U.K. I feel very naïve. It just seems to me that democracy is so fragile right now. It seems like all of this could go away tomorrow. You read about things that happened in past history but I never think it will happen to me/us.

The government has turned on it's own people in the U.K. If it can happen there, it can happen here. Sad times.

PS - I'm not a religious person and don't know much about religion but I clearly remember hearing about the End Times and that would be marked when folks turned their back on the Jews. I'm not sure where I heard it or if its even true.

Se may right now be witnessing the battle of Gog and Magog. There are some historians from the past that place those two principalities as being located in the areas of modern Moscow and Kiev.

How ironic. Since when are you concerned about preserving democracy, Skippy? Your man crush wants to tear it down
You are correct about one thing, democracy is fragile.

Seriously? People have been calling for the "end times" for millennia.

It took me a few seconds to get that. Well played, sir.

I don't recall Gore ever claiming anything religious in any of his appeals for mitigating climate change. But I guess if you want to exaggerate the definition of "end times" you could say he was warning us.
