It happens every few months

It seems like once every other month, I come up on a job that, no matter what I do, I'm just spinning my wheels.

Does this happen to other techs?

I mean that no matter what part I install, it either doesn't fix the machine, or it somehow magically causes other problems, and the call remains a thorn in my side that just won't quit.

I have had entire days where I either can't fix anything or have made it worse attempting to fix it.
