    Dress Codes?

Is anyone still wearing a suit in this business or even a tie?

man those were the days....white shirts and ties. haven't worn anything like that for years. its been docker type slacks and polo shirts. as a matter of fact, my company is paying a uniform company to supply the tech here with shirts and pants. we don't have to wash our work clothes anymore-the uniform company does it for us.

Yep, still wearing shirt and tie ( mabie no tie on hot days ) is this just a UK thing, do all our US friends not have to suit up?

Still suit and tie here as well.

And I still get pissed when my tie drops out of my shirt pocket straight into some toner or dev LOL.

I have pushed to wear polo shirts especially in the summer because it gets so hot in some these offices we visit but my boss says no.
We are permitted to take our ties off if we wear shirts with button down collars though.

We used to have to wear shirts and ties. Then we tried the uniform thing. We only got the shirts from them though. We finally got away from that because the shirts would always smell when they got wet or you sweat. Most of the guys took their shirts home and washed them anyway. Now we are able to wear collared polo shirts. Wal Mart $5.99 on sale.

Clean business looking polo shirt or dress shirt. Tie is optional (unless the customer is irate then it is almost mandatory.)
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

We are given shirts with company logo and name on it, for the winter season long sleeves and summer polo shirts and we get to choose the color of the shirts there are pros and cons to this but definitely better than suit and tie.

Shirt and tie here man. Talks of doing away with it. I won't hold my breath.

"Docker" type pants and either a dress shirt or polo shirt.

Bit different up here in Karratha in the North West of Australia, basically need blue collar for saftey (lots of copiers in the mine sites, where saftey is first. Or so they say). Blue cotton button up work shirt, with blue cotton pants, steel cap boots & saftey sunnies. I even have to wear a high vis vest & hard hat when visiting certain sites!

If we do any training (in Perth, 1800kms away) its shirt & slacks though.
